I'm Lathen and I'm transmasc, long story short, I have until March 31st to raise 2k so that I can afford my top surgery. I received confirmation regarding the cost of my surgery on March 18th.I quickly realized that I would not be able to afford 2k on my own, hence why I have created two crowdfunding options. One crowdfunding option through Ko-Fi and one through Fundrazer. If you are able to help, I greatly appreciate it. All Links are listed below, and if you want to know my story, select story below.

General Note: Ko-Fi showcases donations, plus the amount I already had saved up. Fundrazr did not allow me to include such numbers, when creating the campaign. Any extra funds will go towards bills and recovery. Thank you for your understanding and consideration.

Stories are not my strong suite, however all I can do is my best to tell you what I know.I knew in the early 2000's that my body wasn't right, I didn't have the words or the knowledge regarding even the ability to question ones gender; all I knew was that how my chest looked was wrong. I did everything I could to hide it, short of binding, sports bras, baggy shirts, and constant sweaters were my go to wardrobe.It wasn't until 2009 that I was introduced to the transgender community and I started to actually question my own gender. The full realization that I was trans wouldn't actually take effect until 2018 when in November of that year I was able to start taking T. In October of 2021 I was slated to have top surgery for the first time, but was forced to cancel the procedure due to being forced to move ahead of schedule.I spent the last 3 years waiting until I was able to use my insurance, and find a surgeon that was available to do the surgery. I unfortunately was not told during any of my meetings, what the potential cost would be, and so I called their cost estimate team.The cost estimate team first quoted me the cost of $960- to which I thought that it would be difficult, but I could manage. However, I called them again on March 18th to verify and was told that the cost for my surgery would be 2k; and while I do work full-time it is not enough to allow me to save up 2k in such a short amount of time, while still ensuring that my bills and groceries are taken care of.My surgery is supposed to happen on March 31st of this year, I know that it's only 10 days away, but I figured that I have to try; if I'm unable to raise the 2k needed I don't know when I'll be able to have this surgery again.Thank you all for your consideration.- Lathen

Terms and Conditions

What I'll draw:1) I'll draw backgrounds, humans, etc. However, I do reserve the right to deny a commission in the event that I feel unable to complete the request, or if I feel uncomfortable regarding the commission.2) No NSFW, No Gore, No Nudity, etc3) NO NSFW of characters under the age of 20. If the character is an adult, but looks to be under the age of 20, then I reserve the right to refuse the commission.No AI art and NFT usage1) I do not consent for any of my art to be utilized in AI art training, or minted as an NFT.2) This is non-negotiable, and any attempts will result in an immediate blacklist.3) I reserve the right to deny a commission if you have utilized or currently are utilizing gen AI.Time and Rush Fees1) Commissions will take roughly 2 weeks or more to complete, depending on the complexity of the project.2) If a piece is required at an earlier date, please let me know and we can discuss a rush fee based on how quickly you would require the piece.Payment1) Payment is accepted via Ko-Fi or Paypal.2) 1st half of payment is due before I will start the commission, the 2nd half will be due once the commission is complete, and before I send you the final render.3) Failure to comply with the above statement will result in a warning, then blacklisting upon multiple open cases of refused payment.4) Orders over $200 can utilized the split payment system offered in step 2, otherwise full payment is due at time of service.5) I am willing to work with you in the event that a payment plan is needed.6) Refunds are not available once a commission piece is started. In the event that I am unable to finish a piece for personal or health reasons, I will get in touch and we will discuss the procedure from there.Personal Commissions1) All pieces are considered for personal use only unless a commercial fee is paid, and I am made aware of the commercial use.2) Once a personal commission is paid for, you are welcome to use it however you'd like for personal use only. This includes printing it out for yourself, using it as your social media profile picture or banner, desktop background, character art for DnD, etc.3) Posting and reposting the commission piece is allowed, so long as proper credit is given to the artist aka LathenDesigns, and you do not claim to have drawn the piece.Business and Commercial Work
1) Business and commercial work is defined as any piece that is utilized to make a profit, including: logos, poster art for a business, stream or video thumbnails, panels, emotes, merch, etc.2) Price range for business and commercial work are x3 the price of personal commission work.3) Commercial rights can be purchased as a later date; until such a payment occurs you will be unable to utilize personal commissions for commercial use.4) If you are unsure about anything regarding commercial use, feel free to reach out to me for clarification.Additional Info1) I reserve the right to post any commission I draw to social media and include it in my portfolio.
- The exception to this rule being in the event that an NDA is involved regarding a commercial work. In which case, posting the work to social media and my portfolio shall wait until the project is released, or the NDA is void.2) In the event that a piece needs to be kept secret, please provide a time frame after which I am able to post the commission.
